Human Kupffer Cells

HLKC

SPECIES:   Human

TISSUE:   Liver

CELL TYPE:   Kupffer cells

FORMAT:   Cryopreserved following isolation

Human Kupffer Cells (KC) from Samsara are isolated from viable human liver and cryopreserved immediately after purification by immunoselection. Isolated KCs mount a cytokine response to pro-inflammatory stimulus, lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Standard product characterization includes lot-specific post-thaw yield and viability as well as CD11b and CD68 biomarker expression. Comprehensive donor history report includes medical history and board-certified pathologist assessment of NAFLD activity score (NAS) and Batts-Ludwig fibrosis score. All livers come from consented donors and test negative for HIV I/II, HBV, HCV and Syphilis prior to acceptance.
