Human Liver-derived Endothelial Cells (HLEC) from Samsara are isolated from viable human liver and cryopreserved immediately. Cells are then thawed and grown to passage 2. Standard product characterization includes lot-specific post-thaw yield and viability as well as flow cytometry analysis for CD31, vWF, LYVE-1, CD34, CD299, CD146 and CD45 expression. Comprehensive donor history report includes medical history and board-certified pathologist assessment of NAFLD activity score (NAS) and Batts-Ludwig fibrosis score. All livers come from consented donors and test negative for HIV I/II, HBV, HCV and Syphilis prior to acceptance.
